So you've just watched the Bob Ostin video yes? Awesome to see Bob's approach to the classic. That's what original magic is, YOUR APPROACH.
There's a bit of magic history here with THE LIMIT DIMINISHING CARDS, you will probably never use this very clever method for your Diminishing Card Routine, and that's ok. It's really fusion of different approaches, the vintage cards are complicated and not made too well, but you can see the inspiration of a bunch of different methods of the day, as well as, quite honestly, the very real potential of an excellent method, with work and a better made set of cards of course.
Anyway, these cards are from -at least- the 40's so check out the video for your own education, for fun or for inspiration.
I honestly believe that all things in magic are worth learning, even the stuff that doesn't quite work, why? Because it's from the failures, that we get greatness.

Fate lent a hand here.. I was looking for a spare set of Chapender Cards, found them online, the package even said they were CHAPENDER CARDS (from the 30's or 40') but they were ACTUALLY a variation of the original set, and they're really, rather GREAT!

Huge thanks to Quentin Reynolds who found this unusual set of cards. Strangely Gaetan Bloom had the same set in his Diminishing Card collection, but none of us knows the originator. I'm on a hunt for the answer, until then, enjoy this really clean version of a fantastic effect.
