Hi,
Have you watched the first video on the Jardine Ellis Wineglass production yet?
It’s super important to ingest, before watching this next video.
Go, watch it..
I’ll wait.
Ok, did you watch it? Cool huh?
Ok. Good. Let’s proceed..
I’m very excited to teach you this effect.
It’s incredibly bold, incredibly in-your-face and incredibly juicy!
I call tricks ‘juicy’ when they have something really fun to achieve, technically, within each performance. Something that gives you a really life ‘kick’ every time you ‘get away with it’.
This effect has physical AND mental misdirection built into it, and combines ideas of my own with Jardine Ellis and the late Great Tim Conover.
A number of years back at Magic Live, Eric Mead presented a wonderful tribute lecture on just a small portion of Tim’s work. Including a wonderful shot glass production technique. I’m not tipping his full routine here, you’ll have to wait for Conover book, BUT I WILL be tipping my version of Tim’s fabulous technique for showing nothing UNDER the hanky AFTER you’ve made the load. It’s a truly epic addition to this routine and, for me, was the missing piece in making this production impossible to reconstruct.
Huge thanks to Eric Mead for allowing me to teach you Tim’s technique as I have applied it to the wine glass production.
By combining all of these ideas, we now have an amazing challenge glass of wine production.
You can perform it surrounded,
with your wrists held entire time.
It’s killer magic so please practice this.
One final thing!
The good news is that I was working on this during my recent run at Liberty Magic in Pittsburgh,
I had added the effect to my after-show VIP meet and greet and so I was able to film it for you.
So you won’t just SEE the physical techniques in action, but also the various forms of misdirection LIVE and how they just help everything fly by. This should give you 100% confidence for your first performance.
Ok see you in the inside
Steve
