THE SIGNED CARD PREDICTION

THE SIGNED CARD PREDICTION

This playlist explores a terrific effect that was very popular in the 30's and 40's. I will be adding more and more methods over the months.

I love it because it's simple, direct, and there's a ton of clever versions available, perfect if you ever have to repeat the trick.

The classic effect: The magician creates a prediction by writing the name of a card on the face of another card. A card is freely chosen by the audience, and amazingly THAT card matches the written prediction.

The final - for now- and my fave. This is Al Baker's brilliant take on the signed card prediction effect. and this video is an in depth investigation into not only Al's original technique but a bunch of variations and handling added over the years.

  • THE S.V. D.S.

I’ve been working on deck switches lately, as I need a bunch of them in my show, and by accident I discovered a rather easy and absolutely disarming switch. It’s easy, off-beat and invisible, and I’m sharing it with you.

I’m a big believer that any switch has to be choreographed into the spec...
