7 - Stevie’s Card Read:
This is my addition to Billy's Card Read, from the brilliant Billy O'Connor card act.
The ‘card reading’ effect is a classic plot that you rarely see performed today, not sure why, but to me the idea of reading cards off the face of a continually shuffled deck, while blindfolded, sound like powerful magic to me!
I've taken well known principals and added new subtleties to mask the sneaky stuff, creating an impossible looking blindfolded-behind-the-back card read, perfect to use as a follow up to the original Billy Card Read!
Casually added to an ongoing card routine it’s just one more layer of mystery. I love mixing methods during a performance, it just short circuits a spectator’s mind ;)
