Hey, wait a minute, we are not done with this incredible topic yet! I’m about to share something of a personal journey in magic, and anyone who has EVER ordered a magic prop from a magic dealer will understand every emotion of this experience.
We have all loved to read the old magic catalogues and over-hyped ads in magic magazines of the past.
As a child, I have a strong memory of one specific effect, an effect that inspired my imagination, it was called THE DAGGER OF DAMOCLES - sold by Harry Stanley of Unique Magic Studio in the 1960’s and discovered, by me, within the ad pages of The Gen magazine.
The Gen and magic company and Harry himself were already defunct by the time I got my sweaty little hands on the vintage magazine and breathlessly soaked up every advertisement, so even though I really wanted to send off for this trick, I couldn’t, the time had passed... It was just like when I fell in love with Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz only to discover... well... pretty much the same thing (that was a rough year for a 12 YEAR OLD).
Now, over 35 years later, I have finally tracked down the vintage prop, a rare gimmick - to discover its true secret. Come with me on a journey of magical discovery and witness the Dagger of Damocles.. Will it be incredible? Will it be what I thought?
Or will it be a total disappointment?

CHANIN'S COLOR CHANGING SILK ROUTINE
The great Jack Chanin had a beautiful sequence for the color changing silks, compare with my routine and see what feels right for YOU :) Some would say it's magic for magicians, but I feel every handling has its place... and why shouldn't magicians get a treat every now and again!

19 - A TINY GENII
When it comes to suspension effects, I went deep... and came across some crazy effects and methods (more to come BTW) and this little star is no exception.
Even though it's a marketed effect from way back, I still think the method has merit and there MUST be a way to adapt this to larger objects...
