This is a biggie, not just for fans of the egg bag, but for fans of magic history.
I had long desired to film... something... anything... on Berland's Tipsy Bag. I had found images online, and had no idea how to track down a half decent copy.
Then, as has happened a lot to me during this project, it suddenly popped up on Facebook marketplace!
Seriously there it was...
It had been bought by someone in the 70's, they looked at it once and then shelved it. As we all do with 90% of the stuff we buy.
It was in mint condition.
It was still in the original box that Berland had first mailed it...
and someone else got dibs before me. :(
The owner, a retired magician told me that if the person didn't pay by that Friday, it was mine. He wasn't about to hold it for flaky shoppers, especially as I wanted it so badly.
Bless him.
Friday came and went.
That person... didn't pay.
It was MINE!
So now, just for you all. I was able to get hold of this incredible time capsule of a magic trick, and it's so gooooood.
The techniques involved can be used in so many ways, in so many tricks.
Here, they are all used to create a full on egg bag routine, punctuated with a constant stream of glass productions. Leading up to a big finish.
Even if you dont make up all the gaffs, you will finds stuff here you can use.
So please enjoy the Sam Berland Tipsy Egg Bag!

KILLA VISION
The great thing about reading so many old magic books is that the subconscious often takes all the methods and combines them into something new. Whether you want it to or not!
Here, the magi (that could be you) proves that he has X-Ray vision when he reads cards placed inside a sealed metal box...
